Meet Nerissa
Nerissa is a Florida-licensed nail artist and the only person who will ever work on your hands here. She runs Evil With Elegance out of a private suite on Bird Road in Westchester, one client at a time.
She learned to do nails the way a lot of the best artists do, which is slowly and on herself. Years of practising on her own hands, then on friends, then on anyone who would sit still long enough, before she got licensed in Florida and moved the whole operation out of her house. The home studio started in 2023. Suite 18 at Unique Salon Suites opened in 2025.
Most of her work is Gel-X extensions and builder gel over natural nails, which is the part people book again and again because the nails actually last and actually grow. The art on top is where it gets interesting. Chrome and cat-eye, celestial gradients, pastel K-pop sets, anime characters with the eyes drawn properly, sunflowers with spiders sitting in them, and a Halloween set every October that people still ask about in March.
The name is not an accident. She likes the dark, slightly theatrical side of things, and she also likes bows and pastel and glitter, and there is no reason a set cannot be both. If you want something soft, she will make it soft. If you want it to look like it bites, she can do that too.
The suite matters more than it sounds like it should. There is no waiting room, no other chair, no music you did not choose and no one watching you get your nails done. Tools are sanitised between clients and files and buffers are single use. You book a time, you get that time, and the door closes.
